Ive just looked at my timetable for next semester and i see one of my classes is a seminar

ive never had one before - how is it different from a lecture or tutorial?

Whatever it is, it sounds boring...

A seminar is where you are actually expected to participate rather than vegetate in the seat while the lecturer waffles on.

It is closer to a secondary school class than university where the lecturer will expect you to have read and be able to discuss and present stuff.

That actually sounds a bit better, personally. I always liked the participating part of classes at school. How many people tend to be in them?

Im so happy i dodged that bullet last year.

Most people in my class had to do it, its like doing group projects and all this crap. You get a different science topic every week and have to do a project on it or something like that!

    Have Fun!

    :pac:
