I see Melonstar that you have 3 of the answers. That's very good going. Im stuck with the Railway cup question as well.

Just wondering could you give me a hand on the 4th question also. Do you have a famous cork player as your answer as I can't find a mention in his records to say he won a Junior title but he won everything else or is the answer someone else.
It would be great if you can help me out I dont mind trading some answers with you if you are stuck with any as Im sure there will be more difficult questions to come when the next 8 questions are revealed. As they say 2 minds work better than 1. The prizes are well worth winning.

    Good luck
    David

ha ! sharing indeed .. thats the talk of a midfielder or defender. Im a corner forward. Never pass. Never Share. its a sign of weakness.

ill share my answers when someone gives me the answer to the railway cup question from last night :)

Thanks Melonstar for yesterdays answer Tony Davis to Q4. I had a different Cork player in mind but I couldnt find a Junior title win for him.

Q1 I think is Mick Gill, I presume thats who you were referring to. I can't find a more recent winner either of hurling titles with different counties.

I must look into what you said about Roscommon link to Railway Cup question.

    Best of Luck

On Thursday we'll announce four finalists picked from those who get all, or the most, questions right and bring them back on-air on Friday for a knock-out style final.

Unless you have a pretty good knowledge of GAA anyway, there's not much point in researching the answers unless you are willing to go on the radio and be shown up a bit.

PON is a guess but as far as I know his Mum was a nurse there and she married his Dad there. I think he was with the UN. I could be wrong.

I had BB too but for Q3 but scratched him for some reason. I'll check again.

I listened to the final. Dessie never said how many questions the people who qualified answered correctly or if anyone got them all just said they were picked at random. He had put one quesion on the web which had been asked on the radio as "which footballer" as "which player" resulting in 2 possible correct answers so they had to have 2 sets of 4 finalists. Jimmy's one about Cork players with 21 All Ireland's included a man born in Cork who won 7 All Irelands with Kerry, wonder if anyone got that one right. The link has not been updated with the answers or the names of the second 4 qualifiers.

Man from Carlow and another from Kildare got the prizes, good luck to them. I noticed that not one of the 8 qualifiers came from north of a line from Dublin to Galway.
