Hey I was hoping someone could help me with my query.
Basically I started in a small firm a few months ago doing the ACA and I plan on doing my CAP1 this May. But i'm not happy where im working. I'm pretty down about the whole thing. There are a few reasons for this, the pay is pretty crap ( I can just about survive but have to watch every cent),my workmates are grand but have very little in common with them.

Also I find the pace very slow and feel I could be getting better training else where.I feel its quiet old fashioned and one of the managers really gets on my nerves.Suppose I should have applied for a bigger place as I am very sociable person but wasnt on planning on going down the accounting route it just worked out like that!

The thought of spending 3 and a half years here depresses me no end.I thought of quitting but the way the country going, ill stick with it.I plan on working here for a year and hopefully pass my CAP1 and hopefully finish out the rest of my contract in another company.

Are you allowed do this?Just how do I go about changing firms? When is the best time to do this? will other companies be willing to take me on? I have a solid 2h1 degree behind me and a good CV.I realise that the ACA is a great qualification and want to stay with it.As I said id like to work in a bigger firm as I know a lot of people working there and they seem to be getting on better than me.

I do not look forward to telling my bosses. They are nice and I suppose they have given me a chance. I know you have to repay the fees, but when im not happy im not happy. I wouldnt be the first person to leave a job and suppose I have to look after number one. I plan on giving em plenty of notice but want to have a new job sorted first.

Any advice and experinces from anyone who changed firms would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
