    Hi All,

I've not set one of these up before, And i have to on Friday.

I've added PC to network printers before in my office, but never from scratch.

Once i hook the printer into the routher what is the IP address of it ?

I know how to add printers to PC (control panel / Printers / Add printer / TCP/IP etc, But in my office i know the IP address of the printer,

How do i know the IP address of this new Printer ?

    it depends.

some come with default address's and you connect to control panel to configure it

    RTFM :P

You give it an IP Address unless you have DHCP running in the office which means it will automatically get an IP Address but I wouldnt suggest this for a printer..

    It has no Manual !!!

It's just my mates office, It's in bits. He has a network printer but doesnt use it like one.. they have 4 PC's and just take a lead out and plug it in any time a different PC needs to use it.

All thats in the office is 4 PC pluged into a Eircom routher.

if you put the model into Google and check the website of the manufacturer you should find the online manual.

Manuals are overrated - hookup the printer locally to a pc first and then apply IP address - make sure it is outside of DHCP range to avoid conflict
