    Was in a shop today and asked the guy can the freesat dish pick up rte they said it's kinda 50/50.... Have you klads got rte on your dish?

    A freesat setup gives you EXTRA channels for free.....

    You still need a standard UHF aerial to pick up the 4 terrestrial channels.

    UHF = RTE1, RTE2,TV3 + TG4
    SAT = the rest

    You can get RTÉ radio for free.

    They actually rang a tech infront of my friend when he was asking about it and the tech on the phone said it was 50/50 lol....

    In other words he dont know...that was a simple yes or no answer...Like Liam Byrne says your best off to use a UHF aerial.
