    Hi all,

I have decided to get Sky+ HD and I am just wondering does anybody know if Sky Ireland are using the new Pace or Samsung digiboxes yet?

I have heard people saying the Thomson box is noisy and not too good on recorded programming.

If so if anyone has a Samsung or Pace box, Any Improvement?

Initially I got a Tompson box but it had issues and got replaced with a samsung box which so far is causing no issues. That was at the beginning of January.

I have to ask whats all the complaints about Thompson HD boxes all about..We have 2 of them for work and there is nothing wrong with them not one complaint i have seen. The only thing i find weird is that someone used the pin thingy on the other channels. When i go to other channels i have to enter the pin..any ideas on how to get rid?

The power supply capacitors fail after typically 18 months, causing a variety of symptoms.

Seeing that this is about the Sky+HD. Sky have slashed the price for existing customers...yes i said EXISTING CUSTOMERS!!!! According to the website its now at €49 for those upgrading to HD and must keep it for a minimum of 12 months. Also Installation is free if opting for multiroom!:D:D

Well Sky its about bloody time you got your act together and gave us loyal customer a discount!!!:D
