Ive been looking at buying a 98 - 00 civic but need to wait bout 2 months to have money for it but I know of a baleno for sale and my dad knows the owner and no one is interested in it so i could get it for 600, its 98 saloon, 1.3, central locking, alarm, e/w, 30k miles.
Anyone have one or used to have one, what are they like, how are suzuki as a car maker? Any answers helpful. Cheers.

Not an exciting car, the Baleno, but not a bad one either.

For that money I'd buy it

Fine cars if they have been looked after, its badge snobbery at its best really, as even older Suzuki's are very reliable. If its running well like you say, I think you would be a fool to turn it down.

If you do decide to turn it down, send his number my way :pac:

A neighbour of mine had one and it went well for him. Because there is so few of them around , their resale value is small, hence the price. However an ideal starter car and drive it until the end and you'll certainly get your 600 and a good deal more from it.

Thanks for replies, the owner is a lady and used it for going to work and the shop so Ill probably go for it and buy the civic some other time.
