I think Bath, Toulouse and Leinster all have a decent shot of winning their games. Its a long way away so a lot could change in the interim.

Toulouse could beat Cardiff, especially if the game in in the Millennium Stadium.

I'd have a concern of the Ospreys in TP buyt Munster should be cute enough to close out the game.

Leinster should have enough fire power against Quins again especially if they take it to Twickers

Bath shouldn't have too much concern against Leicester.

So any or all of the away teams should feel they can win their game, Munster have proved it often enough that away games can be won.

looking at the betting 3 of the 4 away teams are the longshots for the outright winners only team that are not is toulose who are tied with their opponents cardiff both 6/1
    leinster,bath,ospreys 9&10/1

so guess the bookies fancy 3 of 4 home teams and cardiff/toulose is a toss up

be having a bet on 4 home wins me thinks

be a nice little lucky 15

How is it decided about who gets a home semi? Is it numbers 1 and 2 (Cardiff and Munster) if they win their QF?

The semi is an open draw. It will be done in the next couple of weeks I think.

man you'd think it would be highest finishing teams left in tournament would be at home
would be a reward for all the hard work imo

No one is technically "at home". The game is played in a neutral stadium in the "home" team's country. Munster couldn't use Thomond for example (Leinster were able to use Lansdowne due to some registration technicalities).

Draw is being done on Tuesday in Edinburgh.

The mechanics of the draw are as follows:
The four balls, each containing one of the quarter-final matches, will be drawn from the drum by Jean-Pierre Lux, the ERC Chairman, and Scott Hastings, an Edinburgh 09 Heineken Cup Final Ambassador for the match at Murrayfield on Saturday, 23 May, 2009 (5.00 pm).

    a) The FIRST ball drawn will have home country advantage* in semi-final 1
    b) The SECOND ball drawn will play in semi-final 1
    c) The THIRD ball drawn will have home country advantage* in semi-final 2
    d) The FOURTH ball drawn will play in semi-final 2
    * Home country advantage - venue selected by ERC

I fancy Munster,Toulouse, Leicester and it really is a toss up between Quins and Leinster.

Toulouse as only French side left will be under pressure to make it past Cardiff. I think they'll prove too much for them.

    Munster will win.

The way Bath are playing they'll relish the trip to Leicster and i think they're the better side. Away win.

Leinster are capable of beating Quins but if they play like they have been of late Quins will win comfortably. Close but Quins are the prudent choice.

My guess would be Toulouse, Munster, Leinster and Leicester.
