Problems with COD4 on PS3

I'm having problems with cod 4 on the ps3. Basically i've just gotten upc 10mb wireless BB. Set it up no problem at all, and started to play cod4 online but once i finish my first match all i get after the score board is a black screen when its should be loading the next level.

Has anyone else got or heard of this problem? I've run out of ideas and i dont think its a system problem as COD WAW works fine online?

i'm using ntl and don't have any problems. just tried a free for all match and it went to the next game no problem.
i was having problems during the week with my connection and started using opendns ,not sure if that might be a problem for you?
only problems i've heard about with ntl are with the cod waw pc servers. the call of duty forum might have some answers for you.

Actually think it might be this blue ray of death thing, cant even load levels now!!

at least if it is ntl ,might find out quicker.

there is issues with COD4 and the disc cracking on the ps3 ,have you checked the disc itself ?

Disc looks in good health, although i'm thinking of buying a new one just to test it out. world at war runs perfect even online. I'm confused

i had the same problem with world at war, sony told me to format the hd even thoufh i deleted the game data, worked after the format

Done this and COD4 worked for about a hour and then it went straight back to a black screen after the first match

ok contacted sony today and they told me to restore the system settings, which i'm just waiting on to finish so i'll post if this sorted it out or not.

Well reinstalling the system didint work was onto sony again today and it looks like i'll be sending it back to them the only problem is that i cant find my reciept but i used a game store card so i'm going to try them and see if they can tell me the date of purchase

went inot game and spoke to the manager about what was happening and he said just bring it up to him and he'll change it for a new one, which i didi and now i gots a new 80gb ps3 instead of a broken 40gb

Yep spoke with the manager and explained that i had bought it there and that i had used their store card when i got it, but i couldn't find my reciept so i wanted to know could he use my card to check when i got the ps3, he told me they couldn't.

but he did agree to give me a new 80gb for my broken 40gb without a reciept. Nice Guy:D
