Playing Luttrellstown for the first time in the morning lads... anything I should look out, course management wise etc?

    Looking forward to it...

Enjoy it, lovely course. I think Copacetic it was who gave me advice before i played it - don't always go for the green. There's a few holes with danger on them, i think it's the 5th especially. If your drive ain't long and straight, you're talking a long iron or hybrid in. There's 2 ponds in front of the green so don't be afraid to lay up to avoid a card wrecker. Same on 18 which is a par 5.

There's a few really great holes on it. Some quite long, but if you're straight it's scoreable. Par 5 8th hole has a raised green which hollows out in the middle if remember rightly. Everything runs back towards the front middle.

Tough enough start to it, so don't get too down if you start poorly.

    Thanks Graeme

I really enjoyed it, a lovely course but very playable as well...

There was only one set of mens Tees out today and they were pushed well forward (too far forward on the par threes in particular) in most cases but it was still quite a test.

We played the course the wrong way round and I really struggled on the back nine (our first nine) but the driver came back to me on the front nine and I really enjoyed it... It seems quite narrow off the tee although the rough isn't too penal either.

Greens had been pole-forked in recent weeks and they weren't running very true which was slightly disappointing but for €40 with teetimes.ie you couldn't ask for much better.

Also, the staff in the Pro Shop were particularly friendly... I'll be back soon... such a pity a lovely course like this is on the way out...
