I'm looking to get the OH a decent hair dryer if it makes much of a difference she usually wears her hair very straight but it's naturally a bit curly.

There have been a few threads about this before and most people recommend Parlux hairdryers because they're the ones the professionals use. You can get them in some hair salons, but they're usually cheaper in hairdressers' suppliers such as Terrisales in Abbey Street.

Whatever you get, make sure it has a high wattage. Mine is 2000W. These are more powerful and get the job done quicker too.

bought mine on ebay, just because i didnt have time to get into town to buy it so got it delivered. You can get them in a hairdressers wholesalers (open to the public) called Terrisales, its on middle abbey st just down from where spirit niteclub was and sort of opposite the side door of penneys adjacent to the luas tracks if that makes sense. They very reasonably priced, mine worked out the same if not a few euro dearer on ebay when you included the postage fee!! Used to have to get a new hairdryer once every 1-2 years or so as they blow up and stop working frequently but Parlux ones are built for day in day out use in salons and are made to last, its a must have investment for every female!!!:DHope that helps!

NTL sorry for butting in on your thread but does anyone find using a Parlux has made their hair a lot finer or damaged it and if so can they recommend some sort of heat protection when using it? I have or had very thick wavy hair which is now ten times thinnner and hard to manage it can be a bit on the frizzy side, I have tried many different protection thingies from salons or Boots but nothing seems to be protecting it. Thanks
