Lifesaver Road Safety Project

On Wednesday 4th Feb UL Ógra Fianna Fáil will bring together the Gardaí, Ambulance Service, Fire Service and medical staff with the aid of UL Students' Union and Limerick County Council Roads Dept.

There will be a live car crash simulation on the Library Plaza in front of the Main Building at 1:30pm followed by a seminar in the Jean Monnet, given by the Emergency Services and A&E Consultant.

The primary aim of this event is to make drivers and other road users aware of the dangers that exist and what can happen if they are ignored.

Please come along to this event if you would like to as there is no requirement to be staff or a student of UL.

The Garda and Paramedic involved in this are extremely committed and do this off their own bat as opposed to that of the HSE or An Garda Siochána.
This is a one of a kind programme nationally, with patches provided nationwide. It has been delivered in industry as well as to school kids, with some companies ceasing operations.

Attendance is well worthwhile


Should you wish to have a safety check (tyres and bulbs) done . You do not have to avail of this but it will be available on site.

If its arranged by Fianna Fail then a crash simulation shouldnt be a problem seeing how they have real life knowledge of a crash .....sorry sorry.
