There is a very good chance that there will be no French clubs in the QFs of the H-Cup with Toulouse the only one that can make it.

    Has this ever happened before?

To my knowledge no, but I'm open to correction. You beat me to it with this thread, been meaning to stick one up on French rugby for the past week or two.

Its becoming a big debating point in France with many French fans lamenting the recent influx of big money foreign imports saying that French rugby is losing its soul in the process.

Lievremont's 6N squad is also interesting with only one out and out 10, lionel Beauxis. He gets injured or plays poorly and france could be in a spot of difficulty.

I'm sure some people will say that the French clubs don't care about this tournament. Despite that they still won it fairly often so I wonder what has happened this year.

Theres also the possible of having 4 Celtic teams in the last 8 which would be massive.

Is there actually any restriction on bringing in players from outside the original squad? I don't think there is but am open to correction.

Nope. Lievremont said that if Michalak and co improve between now and the 6n, that they could be selected.
