TC have announced back in Namm the follow up to their G-Major. I know loads of people here use the original, so I thought you may be interested:
    guitar-major-2.jpg

It looks pretty similar to the G-Major, except they've gotten rid of those concentric knobs (yay!:pac:) and I guess its got a bunch of new sounds and algorithms taken from their newer pedals and rack gear...some extra pitch stuff or something.. And its got a PC linkup for saving/editing patches.

    Looks pretty cool.

The stompbox mode is cool (even if you can already do that with a modded fcb1010) and its nice they've added wahs and filter effects but for 500 quid I dont think I'll be upgrading.

It will be closer to €400. Ive seen it around for £399 and we're nearly at parity with the sterling so there or thereabouts.

Though its true that it probably wouldn't be worth upgrading, it seems more of an 'update' than a whole new product. Still, looks pretty cool for anyone looking at buying a new effects unit.

The first improvement should be the build quality. Buttons and the wheel just stopped working on some of the G-Major units.

But apart from that, it used the same chip as the G-Force (that's what al really wants) so the transparent sound quality should be as good as the more expensive models.
