As far as i rmember, its a slight bit of cosmetic rubbish

    tighter suspention

    bit more power

they had a better colour choice too.

    Big difference between them.

Spec S is N/A and the Spec R is the turbo version

Don't bother with the Spec S go for the Spec R as you'll find it very difficult to sell on a N/A Silvia later on

Spec R's are a bit pricey tho!

massive difference, the spec r is a turbo, alot more power and alot more potential to modify it for more power.

as said dont get a spec s, wait till you can afford the r, much better car

There as said above is a massive difference between the cars.

As for a conversion between turbo and non turbo forget it. Its not worth the massive effort of replacing the internals.

Replacing the engine with a sr20DET is a much easier approach. Its still has a good bit of work involved(wireing, ecu, intercooler pipeing, fitting an alarm ).

If your going to that much effort consider an rb25det though it may make the nose a little heavy.

For all that trouble id buy a turbo S15 in the first place.

A spec R comes in on average around €15k and spec S around €10 there not exactly out of reach expensive cars.

Made up my mind and weighting up all the options think im gona go for the Spec S.

Considering i only drive a 90bhp car and its the fastest one iv had i think id prob bury a spec R in the ditch especially been a rwd.

I know they are 165bhp but what would be the most i could get it up to in the future???????

Il prob get abuse now because its a n/a one but i dont care, its a nice lookin car an if im happy thats all that matters.

In an N/a car its very hard to up the power output without putting a lot of money into the engine.

If your not gonna turbo it then breather mods, a straight through exhaust, decat will give you some gains, you'll probably see about 10bhp increase by putting money into the N/a engine.

For more you'll have to look into more aggressive cams etc..

Join the S15 owners club and ask there, or even search it'll probably have been asked before
