If you want to buy a new car, in my opinion you should let the market crash some more.

Wait until summer or christmas for the prices to really drop further and you will get brilliant deals.

You will only regret it when you see a better deal a week later.

    Just my 2 cents :pac:

18K for that?? You'd get a 08 good spec Golf/Focus for that money.

Tis not much of a car for the price.

sales assistant says they'd take my '05 micra as first installment. then two more of 6k eur in two years, so in 18,150eur in total. Is it worth it or I'm just about to waste my money.

go up north, get one for about 3 grand plus VRT (read the thread on importing) and you'll be laughing

ok, you win 3:0. Focus/Golf - both are too big for my taste and needs.

what would be the good price for top spec Mazda2?
I'm not really after new car, I just want this new model of mazda2. Or maybe new style Fiesta or Ka? or errr... there's no much choice out there.

sounds good, but will they take my micra in? the point is to get ridd off my current car easily and painlesly.

Used to sell Mazda and that version of the 2 is a great car to drive.
I'd consider that a good deal. Micra's aren't really selling so €6000 for a 4 year old one is doing well.
I'd say go for it, you wont be disappointed with the Mazda.
Looks well in the white with the spoiler. Haven't seen many 3 doors
What's the retail price of it? (left the trade before the VRT change & i know they came down)

Many dealers up North are now taking in RoI cars as trade-ins

(Personally I wouldn't deal with Hursts though!)

I'll go out to look at it anyway on weekend, see if I can get a test drive etc etc.., and just wind them up saying oh it's nice but too expensive (not that I can't afford it) :D
After looking at the prices up in the north, I reckon 15k euros would be a fair price for high spec one, but 18k is a no no. Still want one though :)

Not a hope of getting one for that price! Drove one before when my sister was changing her car. Was well impressed with it. It is expensive for what it is though. Have you considered a 2008 one? I wouldn't rule out a golf or focus straight off. They're not as big as you think and you'll be used to them in a few miles. Plus some really good deals out there at the moment
