I've had a look at the other threads but can't see one that matches my criteria, apologies if this has already been answered.
I have 5k to spend on a second hand car, it has to be a small engine size(under 1.6) because my partner is going to learn to drive on it and I would like to keep the insurance down.
    I would like
    5 doors
    petrol or diesel
    low mileage
    decent fuel economy
    and would prefer
    electrics windows/mirrors
    cd player
    remote central locking

My preference would be to buy from a dealer as have had problems with private sale in the past and would appreciate the warranty and peace of mind you get with a dealer.

I've been looking at cars advertised between 4k-6k and I'm wondering how much haggle room I have for a straight cash deal. For instance should I try to go far a car advertised at 7k and deal down to 5 or would that be too much of a discount to hope for?

    Thanks
