    Hi,

I need to exchange about e5000 into sterling. I'll be taking it with me abroad.

Am I right in saying my best way would be by draft(slightly better rate)?

What is the best way of getting maximum value?

    Thanks in advance!

Shop around the banks and see what you can get.
A .01 difference will make a £50 difference for €5000 changed. For example at a rate of .85 you will get £4250 and at .86 you will get £4300. You may be charged commision. According to my BOI account for 5k I will get 4613.50 @ a rate of .9227 but thats only for internation money transfers.
