Can I register for VAT?

I currently advertise a product on Google Adwords, and am charged VAT on my advertising costs (as Google are based in Dublin).

However most of my customers are from the US, UK & Australia with the occasional one being from Ireland.

I want to register for VAT so I can claim the VAT back on the advertising fees. Will registering be a problem, given the fact that I'll have hardly any sales coming from Irish consumers?

    Thanks.

it all depends on what you are selling, software etc, transactions between here and the UK are liable to Irish Vat ( place of supply) but those to the US and Australia, are not liable, but will be charged customs at the point of entry into that country you should ask the revenue
