Canada on working visa this July-anyone heading the same time?

Hi All I will be travelling to Canada from Ireland in July, just sending off forms on Monday, any ideas where is best.? I know someone in Montreal? Do I have to have to have fluent french though? or Ottawa, does anyone know if there are admin jobs there? I work in administration. Cheers :) Mindlet
