    Hi all

Dont know if one has been started before, but the level of top players that are gonna be playing on the european tour is gonna be great this year.

The tournaments will be a lot better to watch.
I'd like to see peoples weekley opinions on who they are backing and who they are tipping for the events.

This week we have the Commercialbank Qatar Masters

    I will be backing

    R. Goosen 20/1 with laddies
Won this in 07 and won in afrcia last week shooting -21
Got him at 20's in laddies and i see his odds are shortening across the board.

    M. Kaymer 20/1 Paddy Power
Great defence of the title last week, had an amzing 63 holes and then parred out on the final 9, if he had of kept it up he would have won the monies for me last week, i'll give him another shot because he's on form and i believe he will win at least twice this year.

    A.Scott 10/1 Laddies
I'd feel foolish if he won this and i didnt have him backed. Played twice , won twice, 02 & 08. + 2nd in hawaii last week, Should be right up there.

Anyone else wanna share any views on who they are backing.

McIlroy at 5.9 to 1 on Betfair for a top 5 looks like a half decent bet to me.

    Darren Clarke 50/1
    Martin Kaymer 20/1
    Rory McIlroy 20/1

All on Ladbrokes. And all a quality e/w bet, all in form as seen last week!! Don't think I'd bet on any of them to be an outright winner...

thers's probably many of these sites and ye probably all are aware of them but if not
go to oddschecker.com you will be able to compare the different prices in the different shops on 1 page also includes betfair

p.s. don't get it when you pick so many guys e/w in the one comp. its money for the bookie

Care to expand on this?? IMHO it's better than outright betting, all the guys could finish in the top 10 whereas there can only be one winner. It's easier to pick out top finishers than a winner.

ok what i'm getting at is by all means bet e/w
but if you have more than one bet your are in effect reducing your possible return
i understand you have more chances to win

but this is the fundamental way bookies make their money lots of people having lots of different bets on the one event plays into their hand

sorry i'm at war with them at the moment on a bad run:(

Gone f.or Sergio and Robt Karlsson as e/w bets to win.

Danny Willett to finish in top ten

Anthony Wall to be top GB and I player.

    Paddy P giving e/w on pos 1 > 6

Had Adam Scott and Kaymer last wk and got nice return.

    Goosen would break your heart,

didnt go for scott in the end after the clubs fiasco
went for edfors instead, he's my best hope at -5.

I know its not very original bet as he is favourite but Garcia seems an outstanding bet to win the Race to Dubai at 5/1 - would even cover it e/w as very difficult to see him out of the top 4.

He is Europe's best player by a bit, has a nice headstart in the race having won a big one already, has spoken about playing more events this year and is linked to the sponsor of the race (even talk of him trying to get some of the US players to play), he will play in all the big events and will I reckon win a major this year.

    Er....P Harrington?

Agree with your general comments about Garcia though.
