I'm looking for a coat to be worn with a suit and also casual with a pair of jeans and a t shirt or whatever.I'm looking at the wool one's that go to around thigh length.What price should I be paying for a good one?I'd be prepared to pay around 100 would this be enough for a decent one?Which brands are good with these…

More than enough mate, check Tk Maxx for some proper nice stuff at the minute.

Example:
Brand new Hackett cream jacket (not in the style you've mentioned, but a fine example)

RRP: 299.00 Euro
Selling for: 89.99 Euro

Wasn't looking for the kind of coat you're talking about, but its never worth ruling out. Personally, I love the coats in Topman as far as the highstreet goes, worth a look online.
