    Hi folks,
I recently got myself a Bravia LCD and Blueray player, and I'm thinking about getting an amp / receiver to go along with it.

For the amp, I'm thinking along the lines of a Denon 1909, RicherSounds have it for £299 - http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=DENO-AVR1909-BLK

For speakers, I have my eye on Jamo A102 5.1 speaker package, which get excellent 5-star reviews, and even better, tend to be relatively inexpensive! In or around £220. Irish shops want closer to €500!

The hard part is finding any online shops that deliver these Jamo's to Ireland. Unfortunately RS don't appear to stock them, and anywhere else I've seen them, seem to be UK delivery only.

Anyone know of reputable sellers who stock these and deliver here?

I took a trip up to Richer Sound over the Christmas and bought a Denon 2309, it is a bit more powerful then 1909... Regarding the speakers your going to buy a speaker package rather then sperates? If you ring the shop the lads are extremely helpful. Even though the website shows that they don't stock them, theu might have them in stock or something similar.;)

    Cheers for the reply.
Yeah, I was looking at a speaker package. I dunno, mostly to keep things as simple as possible I suppose! I've only recently gotten rid of a 5 year old Sony all-in-one home cinema, so I thought I was being adventurous enough looking at a separate amp and speakers :pac:

I don't want to go too mad on the budget either if possible, considering I have just come from a very basic all-in-one jobbie, and my living room is small-medium sized.

The Jamo speakers seemed to fit the bill (and also small enough to be wife-friendly!)

True enough, it's got to be wife friendly too :D I use mine mostly for music through my ipod so the bigger speakers were the only option. If you're on a budget it possibly would be worth a trip up to Belfast. They looked after me... I defo would recommend them and would will go back again.

    Hi JoeA3

I have also been thinking of getting the Jamo A102 HC5 speaker package. I have not yet ordered but have sourced them from the following retailer who provide delivery to Ireland: http://www.av-sales.co.uk/

They have an online live chat thing (http://www.av-sales.co.uk/contact.php) where you can ask a sales person questions without needint to email / phone which is very useful. I first got a quote of £250 (incl. VAT & delivery), but then I asked for a price match from another retailer who was listing them as £179.99 (EmpireDirect.co.uk who don't deliver to Ireland I think). After asking for the price match they lowered their quote to £220 which I am thinking of going ahead with.

Thanks a million! I'll have a look on there. I also did a search on here on boards, and someone else said they'd bought them here: http://www.tottenhamcourtroaddirect.co.uk/ProductDetails.aspx?SKUID=111703

Yeah, I bought a TV stand a few weeks ago from Standland (www.standland.co.uk), and they had a similar online chat thing - very useful.

EDIT: Did you see the Jamo's on av-sales website, or did you need to ask them? I don't see them here - http://www.av-sales.co.uk/Audio-systems-22/Surround-Packages-180-22/

I didn't see them on the website - when I contacted them originally it was regarding a quote on another product. I then asked them on the off chance whether they could provide Jamo's and the sales girl looked into it and got back to me with a quote (original quote of £250). I then asked for a price match of the price offered by EmpireDirect.co.uk, and she consulted with another colleague and brought the quote down to £220 :)

If delivering to Ireland, they do not accept credit card, but only bank transfer which is a bit of a pain - International Bank transfer can take a while to setup.

Give this guys a call http://www.soundsolutionshifi.com/ and ask for Bruce. He should be able to source the Jamo's for you. He got some in for a friend of mine.

Yeah I believe they do them - if you're willing to pay through the nose :pac:

I've found another online place that do them too, Quantum (http://www.quantumelectronics.co.uk/acatalog/Jamo_A102HCS5_Speaker_Package.html). They deliver to Ireland for £22.

Pity Amazon don't deliver electronic goods to here, they have them in stock for under £200! Anyone know why they don't deliver stuff like that?

Quoted from a thread on the Bargain Alerts forum:
Try tekshop247.com, I got A102's there (fantastic speakers btw) 8 months ago and the service was faultless. At the mo they are £200 + £20 delivery to RoI

..... could be worth a try.

    Excellent!
Ordered from them, £215 including delivery to ROI, not too bad I reckon, for a set that a local bricks and mortar shop quoted me €400!

I'll post back, assuming I get them and all goes to plan...

I got these speakers a month ago. Very good for movies and games but not really for music. Very weak and lacking in 150 - 500 Hz range. I had to tweak EQ a lot on my Yammy to compensate for that. I am now planning to get proper fronts and use Jamos as surround speakers, center and sub. For that job they should be perfect.

My Jamo's arrived this morning :)

Only had a quick look at them yet, but they are a lovely looking set. I hope they sound as good!

I'm looking for the same Jamo speakers but having no luck. Links provided no longer stocking from what I can see. Anyone any ideas? Or if anyone has any other suggestions for speakers to go with Sony STR-DH800 I'd appreciate it. Looking for something in the €250 range.

btw, I know Harvey Normans sell them but they're €400
