Sky+ Any free istallation deals?

Am moving house in a few weeks and the old sky +box has been giving trouble ( picture just freezes, when we ring up they just tell us to reset box as we have the latest upgrades, it works for a few weeks then starts freezing again).

Was thinking of getting a new installation ( plus it saves us having to put up the dish etc) and heard someone mention there was a deal in ( i think) star newspaper for free installation etc.

Does anyone know if this deal is still going or where it was advertised?

I haven't heard of any free instalation offer lately. However Sky Plus is half price with half price multiroom if you purchase before the 5th of Feb.Skys introduce a friend scheme now gives E75 euro to both parties (ie to the present customer and to the new customer).Maybe you could avail of that. It's just a pity you can't introduce yourself seeing as you're already a customer:o
There may be some sneaky way that you could if you lived with a partner who'd be willing to put the next contract in their name,

True...if your were a new customer, your could get the plus box for €24.50 and the standard box for free...50 quid for installation and half price multiroom for a whole year...so thats €74.50 for two boxes and installation of both!:D Thats not bad but sadly its new customers only:(

    Thanks Chilly and Dannyb.

Actually the sky+ is in my maiden name so I could get my husband to take out the new package. But I read the terms and conditions and it says you get the 75 in the post up to one month later- so we would have left old house and I wonder what happens if you cancel your subscription in the meantime...that would mean I would get 75, husband would get 75 and we would pay 75 ish for box and installation? Instant profit? Got to be a catch somewhere.

On the other hand if you just register as a new customer without the 'refer a friend bit' you get the free sky+ box, and installation for 24.50 plus 50 but you get 25 back as credit against your billing so it ends up being 50.

Yea the catch is that the person referring you as a friend has to be an existing customer ...will not work if you cancel his account.

That works if you sign up online, if you dont have a landline you can add another 40 quid on top of that.

E50 is quite good. You can still avail of the Introduce a Friend scheme with that offer and get a E75 euro cheque if you have someone to refer you. I hold my hand up and offer to do the honours if you don't know someone else!PM me if you want. :)

Great idea. I'm getting keys of the new house in February so I will contact you then ( no point before that as we can't arrange for installation).:)

I was talking to a sky engineer a few weeks ago, he said that next months sky deal will be the Sky+ Box is free (24.50 this month) and then all you have to pay is the 50 euro installation.
