Temporary(agency) Worker Directive

    Does anyone know what is included in this directive that the EU have passed. Will Temp or Agency workers get the same benefits as permanent staff in the company?
    I have read some articles and some say that the temp or agency worker will get the same benefits as the permanent worker in the company, but other articles say that this is up to the Social Partners to agree on.....

    I used to hate the way temps were hired for 12 months and then let go at weeks notice and treated badly in other ways such as less pay, less holidays, dearer canteen food, no health insurance, no pension, separate management structure, separate payroll, not invited to Christmas party without paying full cost upfront etc. etc.
    They used to have separate email accounts and meetings about company business were not open to them.
    The retraining of new staff each year was also a right pain but much worse for the person let go............
