    Hi All,

Just ordered one of these for myself, works out nearly 200 quid cheaper than buying from apple online and no need to drive all the way up to the North.

Over one thousand euro for an entry level laptop. This 'bargain' is the reason I switched back to windows machines.

It's hardly entry level. It's a pretty decent spec, 2Ghz core 2 and 2GBs DDR3 (they really should have stuck with DDR2 and put in 4GBs). Still an equivalent windows based laptop would be cheaper but you're not really comparing like with like there.

finished whining/moaning yet? Saving 200 euro on anything which has a rrp of 1200 is imo a bargain. I posted this up so that if people were considering buying a MacBook that they would save some cash, I thought this was the whole idea of this board ?

    Apple.... over-priced products... blah-blah-blah... moan-moan-moan.... bitch-bitch-bitch!

    Get over it!

I'm not an Apple nut by any means, but personal preference is by far the Mac - for OS's (Tiger or Leopard), battery life, some stupendous applications and comfort of use.

Actually.. Misco have some great deals on Apple stuff.

Entry level iMac is €999 on Apple Store, and €841.33 (excl. delivery) from Misco.

Wow some great savings to be made there...Macbook pro 2.53Ghz/4gb/320gb model is only €1807 compared to €2249 with Apple! The 2.4GHz model is only €1446 aswell instead of €1800.

I assume these are new models not refurb?

depending on the exchange rate, you might save a few more euro if you purchase from their uk site

Yup I can verify they are all brand new and misco are an authorised apple reseller. From time to time they have refurbs or end of line models in the clearance section on their site.

buy the ram yourself and intsall it, its really easy and will take about 2 minutes, instructions are on the apple site itself. You can buy the ram from this site http://www.macupgrades.co.uk/store/index.php?cPath=21&gclid=CLiah7evoJgCFQoh3god9xldnA
