Recovering data from SD card

Last week, my g/f was taking photos off my SD card and NOD reported a virus on the card (Toshiba 2GB SD Card). She clicked for NOD to delete the files. However, the files NOD was reporting were actually the exes on the SD card that are used by Windows to access it.

So now, when I put the SD card into the slot on my laptop windows does not mount it as a drive. When i use a USB card reader, windows cannot explore the drive where the crad reader is mounted.

I've tried using uneraser software for SD cards but all attempts thus far have been unsuccesfful.

is there any way at all to retrieve this data?

Also, if the worst comes to the worst and the data is lost, is there any way to restore the functionality of the SD card (will not work in the camera anymore).

Also, if noone can post a solution here is there any good tech support sites that people here can recommend?

    Thanks.

    Ian
