hi all, has anyone any information on the development contribution scheme. i would like to know when you would get the bill for this and also if there are any exemptions. i am in the cork county area so looked on their site but couldn't find anything re exemptions. i was granted planning in early september and haven't heard anything re the contribution fund yet so was curious about it.

Here is the breakdown, it is based on what type of services are available in your area.
If you have a mains sewerage it will cost more etc.

What type of structure or development have you in mind?

It will be conditioned on your planning permission.

hi muffler, well i received planning last september and there was nothing in the conditions about the contribution fund. basically there is an old ruin and i am knocking it and rebuilding something very similar just with around 250sqft extra at the back. would love of course if i don't have to pay it as i was all ready to get the bill! so since its not a condition i might be exempt? this place is so helpful! thanks!

If its not on your permission then you dont pay. Happy days.

This from Donegal Co Councils web site will give you an idea as to how the scheme works - just ignore the figures

I initially received planning permission in 2000 for a two storey house on own land. However, it came to my attention that the person who drew up my plans made error and had part of the house in a neighbours field. Re application had to be made and new plans drawn up a few years after.

Because of this i am being charged 12,000 Euro for road maintenance etc due to negligence of the architect who does not draw plans regulary.

Does anyone have any information or advice in relation to this, would be appreciated
