got a can of old spice shaving foam from a 2euro shop recently and it actually burns the skin mildly

    is it real ?
    is it fake ?

is it imported from a country where the locals have thicker skin ?

anyonoe else ever got something suspect froma 2 euro shop?

Don't know about shaving cream but there was a case of contaminated toothpastes being imported from China a while back and turning up in those kind of shops. Some were counterfeit Colgate, some were "own" brand. I don't know if any made it to Ireland though.

Old Spice?......It's probably real....but just burns cos it's been on the shelf since the mid 80's.

They're normally only €1.34, you were done..!

i know old spiice is typically an old mans after shave but they have tried in recent years to revamp their brand with a white water old spice aimed at younger folks

anyway now that u mention it theyre colgate toothpaste boxes actually do look weird, the printing on the boxes just doesnt look right if u look closely at it

where do these shops get their gear and is it likely all counterfeit?

just to clarify the shaving foam in question actually burns on its own before a razor is put near the skin

ive never encountered such a product before,

i suppose i could use it for unblocking the drains or something

I know they used to stock AXE deodrant which is Lynx in america....dunno how they can sell it so cheap though. As for the toothpaste on the news a while ago they said something about counterfeit stuff which had dangerous chemicals in it. Check the box and if it has any spelling mistakes on it throw it out.

The after shave/ cologne maybe but the other products are great I reckon.
Old Spice High Endurance roll on is the only deodourant I will use and also use the face scrub products

The aftershave is a nice little drink.

With a twist of lemon it really hits the spot.

On a related note, there was a program on BBC a few years back about electronic goods, they showed cheap TV's that had the same internals as the named brand. I remember Mitsubishi was one of the makes that sold branded tv beside another unknown make but both had the same internals. The mitsubishi was maybe 30% dearer just for the name.

Best two euro shop tat I ever saw was a horribly fake harry potter doll with ginger hair.

It was in a box called Harry Petter with the 'e' made to almost form an 'o' so it looked like 'Harry Potter' unless you looked really closely.

the colgate wasnt counterfeit, it was just imported from countries where they were still testing the ingredients or whatever? and the ingredients are banned here for health reasons! i think.
nearly certain though that the writing is Arabic!

and no word of a lie here! - first time i seen the tube of paste in the house, first thought - "am i fek usin that" few weeks later it all broke on the news!:D

well i suppose men would save money by not having to buy a girl a curry to woo her after the pub!

I bought a pack of decorations at christmas with santa on them didnt realise till i had put them up that santa was either dyslexic or disapproving of something as it said "oh oh oh" :P

also the one in cavan was selling 2 pregnancy tests for €3 during the summer i wonder if there's any girls walking around wondering why they can't lose the christmas weight:D

I bought lynx showergel for €2 a bottle in Euro2 as opposed to something like €3.50 in a normal supermarket.

By any standard that is a substantial bargain
