Do you out people on Valentines? thats a bit mean, surely they are waiting for the right time to do it themselves.

Donkeys years ago I went to the cinema on Valentines on my own.
Because I really wanted to see this film, Requiem for a dream. It was the only day I could go.
The film has a choice sex scene. The cinema was full of lone male fap fap types and loud argueing couples. No doubt argueing over the film choice.

Haven't dared venture out on a valentines by myself since.

It is on a Saterday this year, I wonder if that means there will be singles parties?

I often thought that Valentines night would be one of the best nights to pull. Think about it. If people are going out with someone then they're going to be with their OH that night. So, if there are a group of guys/girls with out any partners then chances are that they are single. It makes picking them out or "targetting" them easier and if they tell you they have a bf/gf then you know that they're probably lying or have crappy bf's/gf's.:pac:

Never tried this theory out but it seems bulletproof.:D

Maybe I'll have to venture out to the pub this year if I'm not too hung over from my bday the night before.

When single, yeah I went out Valentine's night if it was a Friday or Saturday night - not on a week night though as I had work in the morning.

I can't even answer the question because I'm not single, so I'm just going to also say that Requiem For A Dream is a hilarious choice of Valentine's Day film. Severely grim.

I'll be guzzling champagne atop the Eiffel Tower (because my best friend is a guide there and can smuggle the goodies up). Her boyfriend is overseas, and I just don't have one. Group hug with drinks and amazing scenery.

Course, last year i went for dinner with my best friend at the time, then to the cinema. We even got eachother small pressies. Organise something with one of your single friends if your into the whole valentines crap. Or just treat like like any other day, the latter is prob the best advice.

I think I was invited to something on the 13th, but I can't for the life of me remember who invited me to what. Depending on the finances after the 13th I'll consider whether the 14th is an option or not.

Saturday's our usual night for going out, I'd be pretty annoyed if it was cancelled because we're single! I can understand if the girls have other halves to spend the time with, but failing that there'll be words if we're not running riot!

Wearing an item of red clothing, drinking Rose wine and having red foods like cakes and sweets,
After writing that I realize I do sound a bit sad but it'll be fun and a great idea to pass a day that some friends will find depressing.

Why not both? Rocky horror doesn't start til 8 and Nimhneach doesn't start until 9 so you could just be a bit late for that and make a night of it!

As Valentine's day is on a Saturday there'll probably be loads of single guys and gals going out that night, just as there would be any saturday.

If I were single and Valentine's day were on a weekday I wouldn't bother going out. I'd only go out if it were on a weekend if something was happening, I wouldn't go out of my way to go out.
