Vegas, San Fran, LA

    Heading to vegas in few weeks for 4 nights. then flying to san fran for couple of nights, hiring a car and driving down to la. flying from la to auckland. anyone any tips for things to see and do? thanks in advance

    the drive between SF and LA is spectacular if done on the coastal road (route 1) passing places like monterey, big sur, halfmoon bay etc. there isn't alot to see in LA city itself, you will spend maybe few hours in hollywood, few hours in beverly hills, day in universal studios and santa monica but really thats it, disney is located out 40-50 miles away in anaheim, there is some other good parks such as knotts and water parks out that way too

    There really should be a West Coast sticky in this forum (same as the New York sticky) to save people repeating info for LA/SFO/VEGAS etc every week.
