    Hi,
I have to do a project for 15% of Marks in Junior Cert Project in Home Ec. Mine is Cross Stitch.
The guide lines are: Colorful, around A4ish in size & Suitable as a gift
I don't want it too hard or easy. I plan to frame it when its done.
I know I could transfer an image to photoshop and decrease pixels ect but I want an all-ready made pattern.

Does anyone know of any websites with free Patterns?
Or did you do cross stitch for JC ect.
    Thanks

Just going to move this to arts and crafts, you might get a better response there!

How about an alphabet sampler, with a little picture with each letter? Or a sampler with different types of borders? You might find it difficult to get a pattern for a full sampler you like, but you can sketch them out yourself on graph paper if you like. There's a nice few projects on http://www.dunmanidesigns.co.uk/, or if you google for patterns you will find quite a few options.

Cross stitch is really simple. You should buy a small inexpensive kit and try it. Then get some cross stitch fabric and graph paper and design your own original! Good luck.

Hickey's have a small selection of cross-stitch kits. This website has a lot on offer http://http://www.superstitcher.com/cross_stitch.aspx
If you're just looking for a pattern, try googling 'free cross stitch patterns', loads of sites have free patterns. To be honest it can work out more expensive buying all the thread and everything seperately compared to buying a kit.
    Good luck!
