At home wax..

Usually use Veet wax strips but have found it can take a couple of tries before I'm properly dehaired and I've just been generally been thinking of using a different wax for my legs and.. down there. Any recommendations of brands?
Plus, would a hot wax be better? The wax in a jar that you heat always looks very messy and hard to use to me but maybe hot wax would open pores etc.. :o
    Any advice appreciated. :)

I think Dimples are the best cold wax strips.

The best place to get hotwax is in a salon supply store. You can also by a heater relatively cheaply.
I think the wax that comes off by itself is the kindest on your skin, and least painful.

I just saw loads of waxing kits on drugstore.com, a site i saw recommended by someone elso on this site. More selection on this site than many pharmacies here in Irl.... great site too much to buy!

If you are talking about bikini waxing, I personally would stay away from home wax kits, and would get it done professionally. As it is such a sensitive area, I personally, would not take the gamble.

After seeing this review on beaut.ie http://beaut.ie/blog/?p=2862
I got the Waxcellence kit and I would highly recommend it for bikini waxes (well, a basic tidy-up, not sure how messy it gets for the more sensitive regions ) very easy to use, great results and lasts for ages.

I get it done in a salon and it's really great. Not sore at all. I would recommend this over something you could do yourself.

Imo the wax strips are very bad for hair removal!!! As in the cold wax strips where you heat them up between your hands, they just don't remove all of the hair!! Maybe fine for people with really fair hair but definately not for people with dark thick hair imo!!!
Id also recommend getting waxed professionally, I've often done it myself at home but it's no comparison to the results you get at a salon!! Maybe it's the products they use or their skills (or my lack of!!) but the hair is 100% gone and i find the hair takes longer to grow back!!!
If i was waxing at home I would use 'Veet' warm wax in the tub! The one where u heat it in the microwave and use strips to remove!! This is the best method for larger areas like your legs that aren't so sensitive!! I wouldn't use this wax on bikini/underarm, the strips are much too painfull/ harsh on sensitive areas!!!
For bikini/underarm i would usually use Nair hot wax, the one that you put on thicker and just pull off once it dries!!! I wouldn't use this on legs it's not as effective and you would probably have to use the whole pot on 1 leg!!
There are probably better brands out there, as moonbaby mentioned you might be better off getting the wax in a salon supply shop and buying a heater!! I just use the nair/veet as they are the only ones i seem to come across in boots etc!!:)

This is because they wipe down your skin with a degreaser first. Also available in the salon supply shop.
