I've only recently started training properly, and in the long run, I do have my sights set on competing as a bodybuilder. Its a very hard sport that requires a ridiculous amount of dedication, so only time will tell if im able for it

Ill be getting into it myself, i was going to compete in the junior NABBA's last year (put on 2 stone and all preparing for it!) but i decided not to do it because i injured myself and also for other reasons. I dont plan on doing anything for this year except lean down and then build up from that and then maybe 2010 ill think about competing.

    Thanks for the intreset :)

Anyway i train bodybuilding for last 4,5yrs,can really say 4yrs but last half yr used to train once a week or none, had no time.Like to come back to form this yr.

Don't have any pictures since been younger- 19yrs old and seems to be athlet, then changed over my diet for bad habbits.

Now i'm 22.However i see knowledge in this sport is not all,say u know how and when to eat and then know really good about how to train to be growin all the time...rest is ambition.

I like many of you guys would love nothing more than to stand up on the stage and win. I have been training for the past 5 years (last 3 properly) and a number of my friend have told me that I should compete. For the past 2 years I said right thats it lets do it and then I loss confidence. I am the sort of guy that wants to do it but only if I know that I am in the best shape possible and that I have a good chance of winning.

I keep on say it, but one day I will surprise both myself and everyone that knows me.

hey keith, i don't know you, but i do know tom in the shop.

if you have any questions or thoughts, from gram per protein to supps and special supps there are plenty of people there to help.

tom is amazing, and with just a glance can give you drastic changes, and always glad to help. he can help anyway you need it. also, another great help i got was from dave fox and malika up in derry. they have their own gym there and run 16 week pre contest prepping.

don't be shy, ask these people!!

I train in the mornings and Tommy is usually there, big guy and fecking strong as an ox! You don't see many people front squatting 160kg for reps! Nice chap too

Used to think bodybuilding was what I was interested in and was going to enter the NABBA's a couple of years ago and then I sat down and thought about it and realised that I have no interest in bodybuilding, I just want to look good and be strong and (more recently) use my training as a benefit towards my training in Krav (crime?). I'd rather be sub 10% year round and in good athletic shape. Plus I'm too old for the NABBA's now so that dream is gone. (24 yrs old)

Very important in this kind of sport is genetic.

No one of us can be really good.

Yeah genetics are pretty important alright but I wouldn't write off the entire forum just like that though, you don't know enough about anyone.

Hey man, hows you? You dont know me, to be honest I am only in the Shop a couple of days a week, I do be there saturdays so pop by and say hello. Me and Tom go back years. We worked together and trained until I left power house to go to Total. When I bought Pro-Nutrition from Jon there was one guy who I wanted to manage the store and that was Tom. Not only because he is a friend but he knows his stuff and he is a great bodybuilder but most of all he can advise people correctly. Over the years Tom has done diets, training routines for me and now wants me to step on the big stage. One day, one day.

Some one here mention his legs, Tom in my mind would have the best legs in Ireland. Have a look at him on youtube, cant remember I think he is under Tom Staunton or the giant killer one of those.

don't really like deadlift, carrying out my back, anyway was 180 when been younger.wasn't kinda best one.

sqats is the bad thing, but had a problem with right feet few yrs ago, so can't take too much, doing 5x8reps by 100-120kgs.
