    when i was a kid i used to trace pictures from my colouring books and sent them in to him, hoping to get on it, i used to make them worse and worse so that he wouldn't know it was traced i gave up sending them in last year

    That's a real shame.

    He was in terrible health for a while though. He wasn't even able to draw anymore.

    Remember the music?? Gives me goosebumps when I hear it (have it on a compilation CD somewhere). I lived for this show when growing up and went to art college as a direct result metinks now. He was cool in his day and a lovely soft spoken gentleman...
