Saw these on another forum, had to repost em. Yes, BC Rich get knocked for some truly unorthodox shapes but they were sublime quality back in the day. Check this out.

Yeah,i've heard this before actually!. That BC rich used to turn out insane quality, handmade guitars. It aint exactly the same now but....

....their custom shop stuff is supposedly just as good as the originals!!. I guess that's where all the original staff went :).

Don't see what the problem is with the Mockingbird. She looks good to me.

It looked cool as f**k on Slash.

I'm liking the mockingbird too. Especially the red quilt tops.

    I wouldn't complain about a NJ Beast Bass. ;)

I would very much like an Eagle with all the switches.

A 10 String Bich with the switches would also be excellent.

But not as cool as a max les paul.

Comparing proper les pauls with proper riches is like comparing a mustang to a golf (covered in stickers and neon lights :D).

My brother has a mid-late 90's NJ Ironbird thats awesome looking, and sounding too. It was made in Nagoya Japan ^_^

The current BC Rich guitars owned by HHI just makes a bunch of misshapen "copies" of the original designs. The proportions are wrong and they're mostly very cheaply made guitars except for the overpriced US custom shop.

I depends who is driving the Golf.......Slash would look cool as f**k in it.

    I bet you would.

I know a guy who used to have one. It was absolutely huge and weighed a tonne. Add to that he had to have a custom case made for it that cost a fair bit.

I play a Traben, and a six string hard ash bass, weight and size, not a problem, I don't gig, so a case is a minor problem, though you can get them cheap enough from the US. I'd have a softcase made, or juust get a Coffin Case.

Indeed. Apparently my post didn't convey the sense of irony I was aiming for.

The only BC Rich I'd have is the Artist series one with the hot ass on it. And even then it'd be more to look at than play!

I hate the look of them. Look too much like stylised medieval weaponry!

Agreed, they make metal look rediculous, like its clinging to a viking image.

We need to update our weaponry.

While a lot of the new shapes have been truly grotesque, IMO of course, the old shapes, the bich, the eagle, the mockingbird... they're amazing.
