Hooking up boiler

    Hi,
    Have floors poured, contacted electrician today and he will not be able to do 2nd fixing for another 2 weeks!!
    Can i get him to hook up boiler to get heating going and does all of house have to be fully 2nd fixed first. You can tell i have not much electrical knowledge.

    normally you need to wait until the 2nd fix complete so the certificate
    can be issued impossible to do the necessary checks prior to second fix.

    once second fix complete and necessary checks carried out, the sparks submits the certificate you're talking about a 2week wait until the esb hooks you up, maybe he might submit the cert a few days
    before completing fully ? ;)

    i went OTT when it came to sockets etc, 2nd fix should be completed
    within a week
