I saw an ad yesterday saying tomorrow with the notw there's a free dvd of 'Life on Mars' series 1 and 2. This seems too good to be true...did I hear right does anyone know? I was in Zavvi today and they had it for €22 and it was 40% off on top of that, I didn't buy it 'cos I wanted to wait 'til tomorrow to see what the story is with the paper. I absolutely loved 'Life on Mars', it was brilliant.

Would it have killed you to check their site?

"The first disc comes in a special collector’s wallet and Episodes 1 & 2 of Series One. Just complete the voucher printed in the paper each week and take it to a participating WHSmith store. "

    Quality series.

    Gene genie!

Thank you. I didn't think of checking their website. I did think however if i was right I'd be killing two birds with one stone-finding out if I was right and also letting all you fellow boardsies know about it.

I wasn't sure enough I was right to announce it:o.
Think I will get it in Zavvi. I'd love to see it again. I'm just watching 'Ashes to Ashes' now. I wonder when the 2nd series of that'll be on?

How many news papers at over €2 a pop are you going to have to buy before you have the complete series?

Would it not have been cheaper and easier just to buy the feckin thing today if it was only €22 with a further %40 off?

All I heard was that they were giving away both series'. I didn't know if I heard right....that's why I posted. Since someone kindly posted a clip from the notw website i now know that you have to collect it over a period of weeks. Of course I'd prefer to buy the complete series which i'm after saying I intend to do in a recent post.

I bought the DVD's a few months back. One of the greatest shows ever made. Absolutely loved it. Anybody seen Ashes to Ashes?

Not great. Gene is still funny. You need Sam though.

'Ashes to Ashes' is great, not just as good as 'Life on Mars' but i'm really enjoying it. Hunt is so funny and his two sidekicks are more likeable than in the first one.

Yeah, Hunt makes it.. It was enjoyable but I felt there was so much more substance in Life of Mars.

Remember Hunt gave Sam a torrent of abuse ending in calling him a big girl's blouse...it was featured in 'Harry Hill's tv burp' as 'tv insult of the week'.:D
Are we allowed to talk about this on this forum?
