very little you can do on the performance end apart from a D-Turbo transplant. or save up for a 02> 2.0 D-4D model.

The only decent engine modifications in a corolla van will be the ones being carried in the back of it!

sorry but..not a big fan of modifying vans :P

lowering springs would look very nice though sitting on a nice set of alloys.

the engine is the 2.0D with around 70bhp when new. nothing short of an engine swap will make any difference to the performance.

Here's a set of H&R springs for €100, they're off a Corolla FX, so should fit yours. (check with seller)

Also look at replaceing bushings etc. to sharpen up the handling. don't go nuts though, at the end of the day the van isn't worth a whole lot.

With that kind of mileage any engine mods like induction kits or exhausts etc are likely to kill it altogether.

I actually like modded vans myself. There's a savage golf van knocking around N.Dublin, it's on vagdrivers too and apparently pushing about 220bhp

the Corolla van is really old school, non turbo diesel. there's nothing you can do to make it fast.

If you wanted more power you'd be better off cutting your losses now and buying a golf TDI or Corolla D-4D van.
