Could anyone recommend a reasonably priced satellite dish installer in Galway city. My dish came down in the storm. :(

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks, but dish needs replacing too. It was red-rotten with rust.

Try Pat Connaughton - 087 xxx.

He's done a few jobs for me in the past, and I've recommended him to others. Very good service.

Spoke to Pat. He said to contact SKY directly and I may be able to get an upgrade or something which he said would work out much cheaper. I thought it was pretty sound him to suggest this to me.

Yeah he's a sound man. I personally always go to him for this type of thing cos the lads Sky send out tend not to be so careful about where they drill, where they put the dish or route the cabling, etc.

I mean he has a nicely done webpage and all that but 550...

I had the dish and reciever already. So all he did for me was put the motor on.
    Seems bit steep alright.

€750 for , essentially , €200 worth of gear is a Galway price . 1m Dish Diseq controller and diseq motor and delivery ( no receiver) eg

    http://www.hm-sat-shop.de/motoren-positionierer/stab-hh-100-diseqc-motor.html

No recession here thank God and give the man a €100 tip as well for all the hassle !

And in Galway the rusht will ate it within two years from all the salt on the wind and it will have gone up to €800 next time.
