I run Windows XP and it's been years since I hooked up my guitar to my laptop but I have begun using revalver which is good but there is still a one second delay.

Is this a windows thing and can it be corrected

    AND

does anyone know any good amplifier software?

    Regards,

You might be able to reduce the latency, but it depends on your hardware and the settings. Are you using Revalver as a VST in a sequencer or standalone? What kind of audio interface are you using? What's your CPU power?

standalone.. cpu power is crap, AMD Sempron 3500+.

I have the correct audio drivers but there's no latency options and I used the AS104ALL software with alien connections recommends but that spouts out error messages.
