Anyone tried "YouTube TV" on your PS3 or Wii?

seems okay, still blocky obviously, but it's better than using it through the regular browser interface I think.

try it by entering: http://www.youtube.com/tv in your PS3 or Wii browser. it's got an easier to use menu and buttons etc. sized for a TV and even a (almost) full screen option.

worth a shot anyway and the search etc. works okay too.

Well everything looks blocky and horrific on the Wii anyway. That browser is a nightmare, and manages to render text badly on a high-def screen (I know, it's not a HD output, but still). I wouldn't really use the ps3 for browsing either though. I would say the HD videos on youtube look decent as there's a lot less aliasing there etc.

Tried this earlier on my ps3 and i couldnt get it to play hd videos. I'm not seriously into youtube or anything but when i selected a hd video, it showed it in horrific standard quality and there was no option to watch it in hd as usual. That was the only bit i wanted to see and i dont think i'll be using youtube.com/tv very often. The ps3's browser is a pain to use without a keyboard and standard youtube videos really do look horrific on a 40" 1080p screen!! I'd say i'll keep watchin youtube on my desktop...

    how big is your telly?

watching on a 40" LCD via HDMI is still a bit blocky on the HD videos, although it's lots of tiny little blocks instead of the big blocks on the SD content.

still, it's watchable at a push rather than using a laptop screen to show people stuff. my current favourite being the hedgehog eating a carrot. :D

I've a 40" 1080P screen too, and they look fine when in HD. Keep in mind, not ALL YT videos are available in HD, the uploader has to upload a HD version of their video to have it as an option
