Not Sure What To Do Anymore

Hi, just wondering what advice people can give me in this section of Boards as I have come to the conclusion that I don't know what to do anymore.

Well I'm 21 and have only been in one relationship with someone that ended, oh I'd say around about this time 2 years ago. The relationship didn't last too long, about 3 months. The girl I was dating cheated on me. Was an unfortunate circumstance as I relly like this person. Anyway, since then I have not been able to get into another relationship, at least one that lasts over 3 months and where the girl doesn't cheat on you. I was recently at a house party and meet up with an old friend of mine I hadn't seen in some time and he couldn't believe that I was single! His exact words were "the ladys should be in a long line wanting to get with such a nice person such as yourself, not only that, don't take this the wrong way or anything especially coming from me as I'm a guy and all, but you are a very attractive person. If I was a girl I would be on you in a flash."

This made me feel a whole lot better about myself as I was lacking in a lot of confidence. But alas I still don't have someone that I can love and have a great time with and have a real truthful relationship. Its like a I'm missing out on that aspect of my life. I have tried everything, even online dating, but girls just don't seem to be interested in me. Is there anyone who has/is in the same predicament as me and if any what could I do to right the wrong that has befallen me??

    Thanks guys/ladys :)

    Hi OP,

I wouldn't worry. You're still very young and have plenty of time to meet someone nice and who would love you in return.
You're probably still at the uni so this alone gives you plenty opportunities. Also try not to treat every girl you meet as a potential gf. Relax and try to know them better. Go out with friends. And I'm sure in no time you will be going out with someone :)

    Op,

You have plenty of time to meet people. Just relax enjoy yourself and dont act too eager towards girls as this will make them run a mile.

    Good luck.

It is often at times you least expect it that you meet someone. Get involved in clubs etc, take up some hobbies and don't worry too much about it. You will meet that special person, just try not to let past experiences make you fearful and cautious. You were unlucky but there are lots of nice people out there. Good Luck

It really saddens me when I read posts like this from young people - not everyone hooks up with someone by the age of 21. I didn't have a meaningful relationship until I was 30. I wish people wouldn't think that it's the end of the world if they're still single aged 21/22/23 - you've really got all the time in the world and stressing about it will only make it harder. Relax - don't think of everyone woman that you meet as a potential girlfriend - just leave yourself open to the possibility of a relationship. Don't panic - you'll only hook up with the wrong person if you do.

In my grumpier moments I would say that the problem is that you're nice. Most girls of your age are attracted to aggression.

However this isn't a grumpy moment so I'll say that posters above and below are right.
