i have a case coming up in 2 months i feel i have a really strong case and i think i can win.the thing is a mate of mine thinks the solicitor i have is pulling a fast one.

i dont have a clue about law,i have never even been in a courthouse in my life,so any help would be grateful.

the solicitors,he has told me the employment appeals tribunal dont award costs,so i am thinking i am gonna get a bill off him at the end of this,is this the case or is my mate right

now i have him on a no foal no fee basis.

so any help would be really appreciated

The EAT does not awards costs as such. There is often a settlement made before or during hearing which will include a contribution to costs. If an award is made by the EAT your solicitor will take his fee from it. If you get no award i.e. lose the case, your solicitor will not be paid at all, if you are on a no foal no fee basis.
