its a place where the country's intellectual community discuss the important issues of the day such as "how often do you eat fish"

Stickies at the top of the forum, one of them is called charter guide or something. That and Karoma's mood.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Everything and nothing... Everything really. If something is really specific like "where in south dublin..." that might be moved to the "Dublin" forum.

A lot of people ask questions here that will recieve somewhat unbiased answers. If you ask a question like "Should boxing be banned" in the boxing forum, your not going to get a fair answer, are you?

AH operates to other forums too, some things are accepted here that wouldn't be accepted in other forums. As we are givin some leeway, the mods are easier on us here, get me?

Sorry I know I am not a mod, but... meh... :)

Pretty much whatever doesn't fit in any other forum as long as you aren't expecting serious replies by mature adults.

You had 2 choices, PM a Mod for a serious answer or ask a question in AH.:P

The answer you seek is in the charter of this forum

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=304451
Welcome to After Hours. This forum is akin to the "General" forum you will find on most Internet forums. You will find threads covering many issues here and it is the most popular forum on Boards.ie. There are lots of other forums covering a vast array of topics, this forum is more general and doesn't deal in any specifics. This forum is basically for threads that are "off-topic" in other forums. Some cross pollination may occur, but most of the time After Hours is used to discuss more "light-hearted" issues and topics such as celebrities, interesting websites, non-serious events, general questions and advice on trivial issues, light-hearted or interesting news.

Ah yes, you may get serious replies but you shouldn't expect them.

The bit where Linda Blair stabs her jailbait snatch with a crucifix in the Exorcist is probably a no go..........the bit in the Exorcist though where she stabs her gash with baby jebuz is grand.

glad to clear it up for you. Don't know what mod means though.'cept in Quadrophenia.

    Generally, civil pub chat...

Read the charter for a rough idea. Read the forum for a rougher idea. There are always exceptions.
