hi there, i have an old IBM laptop, really old, 20gb HDD jobby.

i have a Belkin Wireless G notebook card, F5D7010 is the model number.
i downloaded and updated the drivers and the little light is flashing saying it's not connected to a network. It's recognised by windows but when i open the Belkin utility thing, nothing is appearing in my list... it's not seeing any wireless networks etc.

anyone got any clue why? it was working before.

    cheers

What OS are you running, make sure it is the belkin utility that is set to manage the wireless connection and not windows (this can be viewed in the wireless networks tab on the wireless connection properties in Network connections)

Is the SSID of your network hidden?

well when into belkin it says that it looks after my connections, and windows says can't find anything, if ur using another connection software use that to configure it. dunno about SSID?

is it silly to ask how far away you are from your router ? perhaps your card isnt powerful enough to go too far ?
    try closer ?

is anything connecting to the router ?
