Ok, so I have heeded the dietary advice given to me on the fitness forum.

    http://www.fitday.com Fitness and diet journal.

I came accross fitday.com and I was wondering what your opinions on it were. Is it accurate? Or are there better ones?

I'm a 27 year old male, I weigh 18 stone/115kgs and i'm 182 cm tall. I am now exercising regulary and I am starting weights soon.

Should I keep my calorie intake to aroung 2500 calories a day?

Roughly what dietary ratio (Protein, Carbs and Fat) should I have?

If I go under or above my calorie intake on any given day should I compensate for that the following day?

All i can say is eat as little as realistically possible without overdoing it and keep the cardio up- dont overdo the weights but they will help also! Where most people fail is they think u have to keep up the regimen once your at your desired weight, but you can up the calories then and treat urself now and again and you will maintain your weight! Try and go for mainly protein then a few carbs and a mall bit of fat-its hard to be strict with that but you have to give yourself some leeway-if out for a meal with friends etc!

Is there a minimum amount of carbs I should consume? Is it important to eat a particular amount given that i am doing a lot of exercise?

Depends on wat your aim is- if u want plenty of energy and want to bulk up eat lots of protein and carbs with your exercise- if you want to lean out-avoid carbs as best you can- Most important thing i found was do ONE thing at a time-dont try and build muscle to lose weight on the belly etc-thats confusing the body-besides the body will burn the carbs your giving it rather then the stored fat in your spare tyre!
