Windows Movie Maker v2.1

Windows Movie Maker v2.1 is installed as part of Windows XP SP2.

My problem is that I installed Windows XP from a disc slip-streamed with SP3 & because of this Windows Movie Maker is not installed at all on my system.

Because it is part of SP2 I can't find a standalone download for v2.1

Anyway to get this now?

That link is for v2.6 which is Vista compatible only!

Does it have to be 2.1?

It's probably 2.0 - but maybe Windows update will pick it up and update it?

Alternatively, check in Start-> Run-> %systemroot%\inf
Look for moviemk.inf.
If it's there, right-click on it and choose Install.

Thanks for the replies people.

Yes I can & have installed v2 but was hoping to get it up to 2.1 but Windows updates is not giving me the option to update to v2.1

So it looks like if you've slipstreamed with SP3 you will miss the boat on v2.1
