Paul Daniels is nearly 71. He's magic.

Failing that, I would say 5. That age kinda rocks.

I always reckon three was the best age. When you're three you think the world revolves around you and in a way you're right. Seventeen is great too because you can do most things you want, go out, drink, travel ... all these things feel new and a bit exciting because maybe you're not necessarily supposed to be doing them yet ... being nearly finished school is great (if stressful) ... if you're lucky it seems like you have the world at your feet.

So far the most exciting has been 17 for me I think. I would imagine though that 19/ 20 would be the best years for most peolpe.

    The penguins were happy.

I'd say best age was around 11.

It makes sense that a lot would say 18.. Let's see, it's the age when most people eventually leave schooll, hurrah.. your allowed to drink with no hassle, nightclubs etc.

College. And basically, you become more aware of yourself. You finally get the title of being a man ( without actually having all the responsibility) and you still can get away with being a bit immature from time to time.

Cons: A lot more responsibility in that you have to look after yourself a lot more. Also, you might be best to stay home, even though you'd love a pad of your own, to save money, specially at the moment.

For me 20. Right before I started my own version of Sliding Doors.

I should write a book. People would dig deep to laugh at me.

    Bástards.

    For me it was 20

Went back to college doing something I love, had a great summer at work (My thanks to Themadchef ;)) and finished it off with the best party ever (celebrated my 21st 3days before my actual bday)

Mind you 21 isn't going to bad either :D

I actually don't know, I know 24 was the worst year of my life, I guess around the age of 22? I am sure there will be better years ahead. :)

What the fúck is so great about being 18?

I'm 25 and I'm still PLANNING the best age of my life. I'm hoping for it to be between 30 and dead.

I think a lot of people find the year or two after leaving college very depressing! Its like the fun times are over or something! Probably true and all!

i would not say fun times are over, that might be the wrong way to describe it i think, you can still have fun + you start to earn your own money, and start building your life the way you want,so i guess its not that bad

that is what i think, but not sure, because i didnt get to that stage yet

My arse. Dont know why people celebrate their 21st, it is a ****ing depressing feeling.

Best years are 17-19. There were parties 4 nights a week back then. Decent weather those summers, it was all parties, birds, raves, outdoor drinkin sessions that yid stumble home from as the sun came up, fresh out of school, those were the days.

I think 2 bad summers in a row has something to do with it mind.

I think 28 is the best age..your young enough to party party party, old enough to earn some nice money, have yourself sort of set up.. best of all, you can just do what ya like (holidays, sex, spend) without caring or answering to anybody..

    excellent...

Just turned 26. I reckon 20-21 were the best 2 years of my life. My body was a temple, spent a summer in the US, came back all tanned, cleaned up. Good times!

    Mid 30's was mine.

I knew where I was in life. I was totally and absolutely confident my myself and what I stood for.

I made huge almighty mistakes, but dammit I had a ball making 'em.

Birthdays are brilliant and all about getting your dream toy up until about 10.

Then by 10, you arent arsed with toys, so you get clothes and a few notes.

15 to 19, birthdays are about going out and getting absoloutely rat arsed :) The magic returns.

After the 20th, you realise that you are into an older age bracket. I spent my 21st in a packed out pub in an initially good mood, then watching Ireland concede a dying minutes equaliser vs Slovakia in the 08 Euro Qualifiers, which pretty much killed our slim chances, I was in no mood for a party. Im 22, I will be 30 in the same amount of time that has elapsed since the 9/11 attacks (two days after my 15th birthday). In some ways that doesnt seem like all that long ago :(

A Hungarian lad I know said in his group of friends it was tradition to get two hookers on your birthday for a threesome......interesting :):p
