Having exhausted my straighteners trying to curl my hair (it just won't stay curled!!) I'm wondering what are hairdressers like for curling hair? Do they do it on a temporary basis or would it be permanent?

Have you never heard of a perm??
It's PERManent, i.e. the curls will stay until they grow out.

A lot of more 'cool' salons like Toni and Guy don't do perms anymore. You can get GHD curls or tong curls done by your hairdresser. You'd get two days out of them.

They do do perms, but they're called "waves" now. They're looser than traditional perms and tbh who would want a corkscrew perm?
